[Update: I need to amend my offer a little bit. I don't object in principle to images of other men but I'm not attracted to them. The way Flickr contacts work if I add you to my friends list your photos show up in my contacts list and over time (since far more men ask than women) the photos I most enjoy seeing are crowded out. Chances are that if you've got mostly photos of men I'll decline to add you. If I can find a solution I'll revise that policy immediately. My apologies. --fl]
From time to time I try to explore the problem of erotic images of heterosexual men. It's kind of a nuisance since even if they're not created *by* men, almost all visual representations of sexuality are created *for* men. And for the most part male customers either want to see other men as erotic *their* way (gay porn) or as non-exaggeratedly threatening accessories for women models and actresses (straight porn.) So I didn't really have a lot to go on.
Your feedback has helped a lot. It's helped in several big ways: First of all it's given me a *much* better understanding of what works and doesn't work; it's given me a much better idea of the divisions of interests (which, incidentally, correspond closely to the divisions of interest among men looking at women in porn); and finally it's given me a much more accurate, and flattering (thanks!) understanding of my own body -- which I originally thought of as strikingly unattractive. One way or another I find I incorporate a lot of what I've learned into my other posts about pornography, body image, and understanding of our sexual selves. Again, thank you.

Except for the occasional image used to emphasize or illustrate a point the images on this website are self-portraits, usually taken with a timer or an infrared remote.
Generally speaking all the images in this blog are relatively tame. Given the title and URL this obviously isn't a family site but different people have different standards. In particular different people have different standards of what consitutes erotic vs. pornographic vs. mild vs. explicit vs. ohhh vs. ewww, and I prefer to err on the side of caution.
There's another reason. All the images in this blog are also visible to the public on Flickr and I don't want to cause trouble over there.
Not all my images are so tame, nor as public. Going back to the ohhh vs. ewww thing, while I tend not to post overly explicit images in public I have no such qualms about posting them behind Flickr's "Friends" screen.
The difference between an exhibitionist and an erotic self-photographer is that an exhibitionis pushes his work on others while a self-photographer waits for people to ask to see his work.
If you'd like to see my more explicitly erotic photos all you have to do is ask. But you do have to ask. Just email me, or add a comment, or -- if you're already a Flickr member -- send me Flickrmail. Important: if you have a Flickr account you can't just make me a contact, you still have to ask. While I don't require it, I really will appreciate if you'll add me to your Friends list as well. And while I don't require it I really appreciate comments and constructive criticism.
