That is just beyond ridiculous!! First of all, some of the hardest core anti-circumcision people I've met are Evangelical Christians (in fact there is some statement in the Bible that they use!!).
Secondly, my guess would be that George Washington and Thomas Jefferson probably weren't circumcised. So it's just beyond absurd.
But then again the right is absurd.

That's right: in fact, there are several passages in St Paul's letters to the early churches that preach strongly against circumcision - one of the most forceful is Philippians 3:2-3 (describing those who practice circumcision as "evil" and "mutilators of the flesh"!)

Considering that most American men of Obama's generation were circumcised at birth, due in part to the belief that masturbation was a disease and that circumcision would reduce it, this would prove absolutely nothing.

Nightfall - that's actually the premise from which it starts: the "birthers" are using the argument that if Barack Obama isn't circumcised then it means he isn't American.
But unfortunately for their argument, if he isn't circumcised, then it also means he isn't a secret Muslim and very unlikely to be Kenyan...
