As an avid reader and writer of fanfic, otherwise known as “amateur porn for women”, I wish to point out that housework rarely plays a major role. In fact, off the top of my head, I can only recall one fic where something even remotely classifiable as housework played a major role, involving Death and Vetinari from the Discworld series shopping for curtains together.

You could make a more solid case for female sexuality depending entirely on people with wings. (Still curious what the actual audience is for 100,000 words about the members of Panic! at the Disco suddenly acquiring wings.)

HAhahahaha! I immediately posted this comic on my office wall and my FB wall with some snarky commentary. Xkcd is awesome and the cartoonist totally "gets it". Today's comic and this one http://xkcd.com/385/ are probably my favorites! :)

Personally, this touches on the two immovable object/irresistable force demons in my life. I love things to be neat and organized and clean but I absolutely hate housework. I also have a high sex drive and really want regular partnered sex, but hooking up/scratching the itch with an agreeable stranger/buddy doesn't work for me. So I try to keep things clean/not make messes and do the minimum amount of housework possible to keep the chaos at threshhold. And thank the Flying Spaghetti Monster I now have an S.O. who feels the way I do about both housework and sex!

You know, that is actually much the same way I feel about housework/order. I like things tidy and organized, but hate doing the housework, so it ends up somewhere in the middle. ;)

Posting it on your fb wall is not a bad idea… Why haven’t I thought of that?

As to Ozymandiaz comment about fanfics and ‘amateur porn for women’, I agree. There’s seldom housework involved, when there is, it’s usually in small amounts and more of a ‘nice he’s helping with things’ thing. The M/NC-17 rated stuff is often very centered on ~~surprise~~ sex and seduction.
I really don’t know where this ‘women don’t like sex/women only think men is sexy when doing housework’ thing comes from(or how it stays in place).
Is there some agenteur in place somewhere to keep this myth in place?
