Good job! Can I borrow you?
Happy HNT!

[Hey, I never said I *like* folding laundry! Ok, I enjoy it a little when there's tons (one two-load basket isn't tons) and I can sort of make a day out of it. If I could get away with just shopping, cooking, and caring for the children I would. :-) Thanks, Lee Ann. Happy HNT to you. --fl]

i did a mountain of it today too. and being a barefoot girl myself, i like seeing your tootsies all free. just a comfy thing. happy HNT!

[The bare feet are a holdover of my southern Applalachian heritage. That plus shoes in the house equals more dirt on the floor so why bother? Happy HNT to you, too, Lime. --fl]

I love seeing you in jeans and bare feet. I think it makes me feel as if you are approachable.

[What a wonderfully nice thing to say, Madame. Thank you! --fl]

Yep I like the jeans and bare feet too. Do you use folding laudry as good thinking time Fig? I wash dishes by hand through choice a lot of the time because it's one of the few times I'm not taking in information and it seems like the time when I can mull over an idea or two. Neat piles of clean dishes or fresh laundry have a good feel about them. :)

Cheers,
Ell

Thanks for the sweet comment at Flickr too.

[Folding laundry and doing dishes takes too much concentration to really reflect on much so not so much. It's easier with more genuinely repetitive tasks like cooking or knitting, walking or driving, or maybe weeding (when I have to weed.) Sitting quietly with the children while they fall asleep is another great time for thinking. If I don't fall asleep in the chair between their beds. (Man, that's a great feeling by the way.) Thank you, Elle. --fl]

Nice.

That's also a very interesting couch behind you.

:D

[Ok, ok! About the couch: I found it next to the curb in front of an off-campus fraternity house almost 20 years ago. It was beat-up then and it's very beat-up now, and it's really only one end of a three-part sectional but yeah, it's pretty cool. Just don't look at it up close. I think it's ratty but my partner and the kids love it too. The good news? We probably won't replace it for another decade or two. :-) (Oh yeah, I was going to say you could see more of it, and, um, me here but the there's a throw over it... which is more than you can say about me.) Thanks, AAG. --fl]

Happy HNT! You can definitely fold for me ... I HATE folding.

[You know what I really hate folding? Fitted sheets and women's underwear! Oh yeah, and those bloused dresses and tops with elastic in them. I have *no* idea how they do it at the factory, and I've watched other people do it in places like laundromats, but even when I have the patience to try it just doesn't work for me. (So I roll up undies, hang dresses and tops, and just punt on fitted sheets.) If we ever meet in a laundromat, though, I'll fold your other stuff if you'll give me pointers. Thanks. --fl]
