HNT - Perils of Unpacking

Wed, 2008-08-27 18:26

Ugg! It seemed like a good idea at the time to finally get a single place where I could put all my books, including all the ones I’ve had in storage. Now imagine actually hauling all those books! Ok, worse things could happen, and I could use the exercise. One cool thing? I’ve been finding all these great old books I’d forgotten about.

Anyway, so there I am, struggling up the stairs with all these boxes and my pants fell down. Seriously! Ok, not when I had the camera, these photos were part of a “reenactment.” But seriously, I was wrangling all these boxes from the basement out to my new office and scootch… scootch… some seriously unwelcome (to me, not sure about you) migration. Luckily no one else saw and I somewhere to safely put the boxes down and my pants back up!

Happy HNT (or Half-nekkid Thursday!)

Clever and sexy. I love the first one. Jeans in the coming-off position are just delicious. HHNT!

[Thank you, Coy! I appreciate it. Happy HNT to you too. --fl]

I love finding a box full of old books I've forgotten about. It's like a treasure. I just love books though. =D

Great pics! Happy HNT!

[Yeah, it's great finding those old books, AR. Happy HNT to you. --fl]

Um, yes I need somebody like yourself to come help me unpack some boxes, and you know...do some other things. HHNT!

[Thanks, Laken. Love the striped socks! Happy HNT to you too. --fl]

I am so glad you re-enacted this! Also - yum :)

This is definitely one of my favourites for the week, and not just because I want to see inside the boxes (hello, yes, just another bibliophile here ...)

xx Dee

[I've got a ton of great books -- everything from Das Kapital to the Bible my (one of the original) fundamentalist preacher great-grandfather used to the Joy of Sex to Andrea Dworkin's Intercourse to... you name it, if it's non-fiction I might have something about it. Thanks, Dee. And happy HNT. --fl]

Sadly I had to shed an awful lot of books when we moved house. It's like parting with old friends. Of course I had to go and look at the Flickr set to read the book titles. I'd like to recommend everyone does the same - and not just to see book titles :) :) Very attractive shots, figleaf.

You know you are in good shape when your pants can fall down like that! Happy HNT.

Do you need some help?
You might have been better caring it naked!

That is funny and incredibly sexy all at the same time. I would have totally taken advantage of that had I been there.

It must be something about books - I have hoards of them in store too and I keep finding items of clothing mysteriously coming loose as I move them around ;)

One other thing: if those four boxes are genuinely full of books, I'm rather impressed! Why, your biceps are hardly showing any strain at all :D

Happy HNT!

You need a sack trolley and a belt.

Although lacking these items has led to a most entertaining and attractive set of images.

Mmmm. I'm lusting after your large, hard, naked ... shelves. (I too have a bunch of book boxes that have been in my basement for years.)

LOL, what a fun re-enactment!

Wanna borrow my hand trolley? lol

... or maybe... a belt?

No, just lemme help you move... You go up the stairs first, please. ;)

lol ohh I love this!

For some reason, it made me think of something that happened to me. It doesn't involve pants falling off, so skip if that's what you want :P

I was getting some garbage out of my apartment building, had a bag in each hand. I get to the door, which has a big glass window that takes up almost the whole door, and it's slightly jammed, I can't push it open with my arm (hands holding bags...). So I give the door a thrust of the hip and... The whole fucking glass breaks into pieces, and I'm just left standing there, a garbage bag in each hand, looking, stunned, at a big pile of broken glass.

[Yikes, Elle! My (second-hand observational) experience with broken glass doors is they can be *dan-ger-ous!* I'm glad you weren't hurt. --fl]

Oh my figgy! I've had the same thing happen to me, perhaps moving is meant to be done nekkid?

[Well, it certainly beats trying to hobble around with boxes in hands and pants around your ankles. (Not that there's *anything wrong with that. :-) ) Thanks, Shay. --fl]
