The pause that refreshes

Ever notice that ten minutes after really great (meaning not just “putting out” for your partner) sex you feel exactly the same whether or not you had an orgasm?

Sure, orgasms release some nice relaxation hormones, but sex releases quite a few more.

Is sex better with an orgasm? Sure! Maybe even of course! But lemme tell ya, if you think orgasms are all that feels good about sex…

Now...IF I ever get the chance to have an orgasm with sex, then maybe I would have the chance to compare. I've only ever had sex without. And as for 'great sex' - I'm still waiting for THAT too lol.

Ditto, except I can count on one hand great sex.

Oh, I never commented on this! As someone who often enjoys sex more (in a weird complicated way for weird complicated reasons) without an orgasm I love to read insights like this.

Sex is just awesome in general. Yay enthusiastic consent ;)

[I totally get the weird complications, Dana. Which, I guess, was sort of why I brought up this topic. We tend to get so obsessed about orgasms *socially* that too often we forget about everything else that distinguishes sex from, say, masturbation. *Not that concern for our's and our partner's orgasms isn't important!* Just that there's a big difference between "important" and "raison d'etre" for sex. Thanks! --fl]
