Professor Fate of The world was made for people who aren’t cursed with self-awareness asks
4. When you have a “toe-curling” orgasm, do your does curl up, or down?
I’m not sure why but the question shocked me.
You know about that phenomenon where people tend to unconsciously assume everything else in the world is like the way their corner is? It simply never occurred to me that “toe curling” could mean anything but “curl down.”
No reason for me to believe that.
What other thinks do we just know to be true about sex that just ain’t so?

Not perhaps shocked but I struggle with the idea that toes can curl upwards - ever. Mine can't. They move up, yes, but if they're curling it's downwards. I remember an English teacher of mine once telling us that she fell asleep after having had a little too much (sherry) to drink. When she woke up her toes were "curled up like little rosebuds". Now that I found shocking - she must have been, well, almost as old as I am now. (Not that I find it easy to compare toes and rosebuds either)
[Yeah, I didn't think so either until I tried it. And I admit they're not exactly *curled* but I can see how they could as easily go that way as the other in toe-curling situations. Thanks, A. --fl]
