I learned about the ridiculousness of the 'twinkie' defense from my mother when I was 8. It didn't even enter the picture that Milk was gay until I picked up Give Me Convenience or Give Me Death by the Dead Kennedys [I Fought the Law (And I Won)] when I was 15. The 'wingers can go pee up ropes.
